How to OP and DE-OP a player in Minecraft

On a Minecraft server, an operator (often abbreviated "OP") is one of the highest permission levels a player can have by default. When using a server with plugins or mods, you can set players to have access to certain permissions rather than all of the commands that a regular OP has. In a Vanilla Server (Unmodified Server), OPs can run any command, including summoning entities, broadcasting messages, and even banning different players.
1. Make sure your server is running. If it is not running, start the server.
2. Click on the textbox at the bottom of the Console, then enter the command “op <Minecraft Username>”.

2. Runn the following command in the console: “deop <Minecraft Username>”.
